HOW IT ALL BEGAN — A LOVE FOR VINTAGE RUGS
Our collection is individually selected and curated by owner, Elizabeth Lee. Her love for rugs began early in life with her mother’s influence of design and decor and her father’s passion for historical preservation and building.
Hazel House evolved from Elizabeth’s own experiences in searching for rugs for her personal home. She found the search to be overwhelming and intimidating. Rugs that her budget afforded fell short. The quality wasn’t what she expected and she was determined to find quality rugs to fit their lifestyle, design aesthetic and budget. In turn, a passion was sparked to find rugs for others.
Each Hazel House rug is a unique work of art — no two are alike. All handwoven nearly a century before they made it to us. We appreciate them all as works of art with stories of their own.
